She attended Crossroads School for Arts and Sciences in Santa Monica, California, and then she joined the French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts. She also studied at Northwestern University.

Deschanel began a relationship with actor Jason Schwartzman in 2003 and they split in 2005. Career

Zooey started her acting career with Elena’s role in the television series Veronica’s Closet in 1998, and she made debut her career in films with Nessa Watkins’s role in the film Mumford in 1999. She gained fame for her Jessica Day’s role in the television series New Girl from 2011 to 2018, and she is also known for Summer Finn’s role in the movie 500 Days of Summer in 2009. Deschanel appeared as Cheryl in the film The Good Girl in 2002, and she portrayed Tricia “Trillian” McMillan’s role in the film The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy in 2005. She also played a memorable role in the films Almost Famous (2002), Elf (2003), and Bridge to Terabithia (2007).
