Sarah Michelle Gellar is an American actress, producer, and entrepreneur, also known as Sarah Michelle Prinze. She was born in Long Island, New York, United States on April 14, 1977. She is the daughter of mother Rosellen Gellar, a school teacher, and father Arthur Gellar, a garment worker. Michelle attended Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School, and then she joined Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. She graduated from Professional Children’s School in New York City.
Gellar dated actor Jerry O’Connell from 1998 to 1999. Later, she started a relationship with actor Freddie Prinze Jr. in 2000, and the couple got engaged in April 2001. They tied the knot on September 1, 2002 in Mexico. They have a daughter Charlotte Grace Prinze, born in 2009, and a son Rocky James Prinze, born in 2012.

Sarah gained fame for her Buffy Summers’s role in the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer from 1997 to 2003, and she is also known for Daphne Blake’s role in the films Scooby-Doo (2002) and Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004). She made debut her acting career with Phil’s Daughter role in the film Over the Brooklyn Bridge in 1984, and she played Sara Guidotti’s role in her first television series Crossbow in 1988. She portrayed Kathryn Merteuil’s role in the film Cruel Intentions in 1999, and she appeared as Kendall Hart’s role in the television series All My Children from 1993 to 1995.
