Gillian Anderson is an American–British actress and activist. She was born on August 9, 1968, in Chicago, Illinois, United States. She is the daughter of father Edward Anderson, owned a film post-production company, and mother Rosemary Anderson a computer analyst. Anderson has a younger brother Aaron Anderson and younger sister Zoe Anderson. She is of English, German, and Irish descent. She attended Coleridge Primary School in North London, and then she went to Fountain Elementary. Gillian also went to City High-Middle School in Grand Rapids, Michigan and then she joined DePaul University in Chicago.
Anderson began dating to Canadian production designer Clyde Klotz in 1994, and they got married on January 1, 1994. The couple gave birth to her first child as daughter Piper Maru Klotz on September 25, 1994, and they divorced on 1997. Later, she started a relationship to Julian Ozanne, and the couple got married to producer Julian Ozanne on December 29, 2004. Then the duo divorced in 2007. Gillian started dating to British businessman Mark Griffiths in 2006, and they have two sons, Oscar Griffiths born in 2006, and Felix Griffiths born in 2008. She also in a relationship to writer Peter Morgan in 2016.
Early Life
Gillian made debut her acting career as Woman 1 in the short film Three at Once in 1986, and she started her television career with the role as Rachel on the drama series Class of ’96 in 1993. She is very famous for her role as FBI Special Agent Dana Scully on the drama series The X-Files, and she also gained fame for her role as Stella Gibson on the television series The Fall. She also appeared in the movies The House of Mirth, The Mighty Celt, Sister, and Mr. Morgan’s Last Love.
