Her mother converted to Judaism and raised her daughter in the Jewish religion. She has an older brother Ira David Wood IV, an actor, and two other brothers Dana Wood and Thomas Wood. Wood has a sister Aden Wood. She attended Cary Elementary in Cary, North Carolina, and she also studied at Laurel Springs School.
